Purpose & Meaning — Vernon, BC
Purpose coaching in Vernon:
find the shape underneath the plan
One-to-one, in person, for when the plan is basically fine and something underneath it still isn't.
This isn't career coaching, and it isn't a five-year-plan exercise. It's a plain look at what you actually believe at the centre, and whether the life you've built around it still fits.
Purpose coaching, here, means something specific: it isn't goal-setting, and it isn't advice about your job. It's an honest look at the core belief running underneath your choices, and the plan, the roles, the routine you've built around that core since. Sometimes those two things line up. Sometimes they quietly stopped matching a while ago.
What this actually looks like
A change of label isn't a change of substance.
Take a piece of wood, shape it into a bowl, and call it a bowl. Has it actually changed? Not really — it's still the same piece of wood, just renamed and reshaped for how you're using it now. People do the same thing to themselves constantly: a new title, a new routine, a new five-year plan, while the actual core underneath never gets looked at directly. This work starts at the core, not the relabeling.
You can re-title, re-categorize, re-theorize anything you want, and underneath all that relabeling, the thing itself hasn't fundamentally shifted.
— from Week 33, "The Piece of Wood Is Still a Piece of Wood"
A five-year plan isn't the problem. The mistake is assuming anything that happens outside the plan as written must not be part of your life's actual trajectory. Sessions work through what's actually underneath the plan you've already made — whether it still points at something you believe, or whether it's just the shape you happened to be handed.
Who this tends to be for
People whose life looks fine on paper.
Some people come in successful by every outside measure and quietly unconvinced it means anything. Others aren't chasing a crisis at all — they've just noticed a low hum of "is this it," and would rather look at it directly than wait for it to get louder.
This isn't about handing you a mission statement by the end of the hour. It's about clearing away enough of the noise that you can hear what you actually believe, underneath what you've been told to want.
Sessions
In person, in Vernon, on a real clock.
First meetings usually happen in your own space, for a scheduled one-hour conversation. Ongoing sessions run in two-hour blocks — enough room to actually sit with a question this size instead of rushing past it.
Before you write
Questions people actually ask.
Is this the same as career coaching?
No, and I'm upfront about that — I don't offer career coaching. This is about the belief underneath your choices, not your resume, your job search, or your next title. Purpose can touch your work, but work isn't where this starts.
What if I don't have a clear goal to work toward?
That's fine, and honestly more common than arriving with a polished goal. This isn't goal-setting. It starts with what you actually believe right now, not a destination you're supposed to already have picked.
Do I need to be in a crisis or a big life transition to start?
No. Plenty of people start this from a life that looks completely fine from the outside. A quiet sense that something doesn't add up is a perfectly good reason on its own.
Is this religious?
No specific belief system is required or prescribed. Whatever you already believe — or don't — is the starting material. This isn't about adopting a new one.

Say hello.
Start with a message. No form, no funnel — just an email or a call, answered by the person you'd actually be working with.
