Relationship & Connection — Vernon, BC

Relationship coaching in Vernon:
the plainest words are the hardest to say

One-to-one, in person, for how you actually show up with the people closest to you — not just who you're with.

People here don't say much they don't mean, which makes it all the stranger how often the most obvious things go unsaid the longest.

A surprising amount of relationship strain traces back to something simple left unsaid, not something complicated left unresolved. "I love you," "I was wrong," "I need help" — three words each, and somehow the hardest sentences most people ever build. Relationship coaching isn't about finding the right words. It's about noticing what's actually stopping you from using the ones you already have.

Why Is It So Hard to Say "I Love You"

I love you. I mean it, genuinely, when I say it — but I got thinking about how loaded those three words have become. Why is it that we can’t just say them freely, to anyone, about anything? Could you say "I love you" to a tree and mean it?

Who this tends to be for

People who mean more than they say out loud.

Some people come in because they can feel the gap between what they actually feel and what actually gets said, and they're tired of the people they love having to guess. Others are on the receiving end of that same gap, wondering where they actually stand.

This fits one specific relationship you're navigating right now — a partner, a parent, an adult child — just as well as it fits a pattern you've noticed across all of them.

Book Two

The New Golden Rule

The missing half of the rule most people already try to live by: treat yourself first, at the highest standard you can honestly maintain, then extend that standard outward. Most relationship strain starts with the first half being skipped.

"Treat yourself, and others, the way you want to be treated."

Questions people actually ask.

Is this couples counseling?

No. There's no clinical diagnosis or treatment plan. It's coaching, usually one-on-one, sometimes with a second person in the room by choice, not by default.

What if the other person won't come to a session?

That's fine — most of this work happens one-on-one anyway. How you show up is something you can change regardless of who else is in the room.

Is this about romantic relationships specifically?

No — family, friendships, and work relationships all bring the same underlying question: are you actually saying what you mean, to the people it matters most with.

Do I need to read the books first?

No — they're there for more depth before or after a session, not as homework beforehand.
